Mumbai’s Nehal Wadhera top-scored with a 51-ball 64 to help Mumbai reach a total of 139/8.

In response, Super Kings chased down the target of 140 with 14 balls to spare, thanks to steady contributions from Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad. The win places Super Kings in second place in the points table.

CSK had an impressive start in their match against Mumbai Indians, taking early wickets and restricting MI to 34/3 inside the Powerplay. Suryakumar Yadav and Nehal Wadhera tried to rebuild the innings and upped the scoring in the eighth over. However, Jadeja dismissed Suryakumar Yadav in the ninth over. The CSK bowlers continued to keep a tight leash on the MI batters.

Wadhera scored a half-century and hit some well-placed fours off Jadeja’s bowling. Pathirana was introduced by CSK as their Impact Player and he bowled brilliantly, picking up three wickets in his spell and conceding only 15 runs without giving away a single boundary. CSK restricted MI to 139/8 at the end of their innings.

CSK chased down a target of 140 with ease as Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway provided a strong start, hitting several boundaries early on. Piyush Chawla bowled exceptionally well, taking two wickets and giving away just 25 runs in his four overs. The middle overs saw a dry spell of boundaries before Ambati Rayudu broke it with a massive six.

Shivam Dube then came in and hit a couple of sixes to take CSK closer to the target. Conway played a well-paced innings of 44 off 42 balls before being trapped LBW. With just 8 runs needed off 17 balls, Dube hit a crucial six and MS Dhoni hit the winning run as CSK won the match by six wickets, much to the delight of the Chepauk crowd.
