HUR vs THU – BBL – Team Previews
Hobart Hurricanes will be hosting Sydney Thunder at their home ground. It should be noted that the Hurricanes have always been lucky at the Hobart ground. They are in desperate need of a win to improve their position in the BBL point table.
In the last game against Melbourne Stars, the Hurricanes, who were once 94 for 1 and were chasing 132, lost 7 for 35 as they laboriously crossed the finish line with 14 balls to spare. While the win might have been unnecessarily made tedious by them, the team will still take this going ahead.
Faheem Ashraf, Nathan Ellis (c), and Riley Meredith will be responsible for the bowling attack. The middle order of the Hurricanes will be on high alert because of the debacle of the opening partnership in the last game.
Sydney Thunder has shown a large amount of inconsistency in the ongoing season of BBL. Their last fixture was their second-worst defeat. While their worst game of this season will possibly never be toppled by any team (hopefully), the recent loss too wasn’t something to smile about.
Sydney Thunder needs to win the upcoming fixture if they want to qualify for the playoffs. It would be a true shame if they won’t be able to make something out of this arsenal of players. The upcoming game against the Hurricanes can be the beginning of that change to happen.
David Warner, Alex Ross, Nathan McAndrew, and Daniel Sams will be the key players for the team.
