ST vs RR – BPL – Team Previews
It was a smooth ride in the league phase as far as the Sylhet Strikers are concerned in the league phase. But they lost the first qualifier rather unexpectedly against the Comilla Victorians and now find themselves in knockout territory.
They could only muster 125 on a decent wicket in their first innings. Najumul Hossain scored 38 (29) and Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 29 (22) but couldn’t kick on. The target was never going to be enough against the firepower of the Victorians as the West Indies duo of Narine and Russell chased it down with 20 balls to spare.
Najmul Hossain Shanto has been the leading batsman for the Sylhet Strikers, accumulating a total of 412 runs with a 112 strike rate. He showcased his power-hitting skills by hitting 10 sixes and 43 fours. Towhid Hridoy, another top performer for the team, has notched up 378 runs with a 145-strike rate.
On the bowling front, Mohammad Amir has been the standout performer for the Sylhet Strikers with 14 wickets to his name. He has maintained an impressive average of 19 and an economical rate of 6.14, making him a valuable asset to the team.
The Rangpur Riders are on a winning streak and have made a late dash towards the BPL trophy. They have been unstoppable, having won their last 8 games, including a four-wicket victory over Fortune Barishal in their most recent match, which was the Eliminator.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz delivered a powerful fifty and Mahmudullah provided a swift cameo, leading Fortune Barishal to a total of 170/3 after 20 overs. Dashun Shanka was the standout bowler for the Riders, taking two wickets. In pursuit of a challenging target, Shamim Hossain put forth a remarkable innings of 71 runs to secure a spot in Qualifier 2.
Mehidy will once again be the main man for the Riders with his off-spin and batting at the top of the order if they want to make it into the finals. A lot is expected of senior internationals Dashun Shanaka and Nicholas Pooran as well.

ST vs RR – BPL – Pitch Report and Toss Prediction
At the Shere Bangla National Stadium, playing conditions tend to be more conducive for bowlers, with a traditional average first-innings score of 135. This has been evident in recent games, where bowlers have had a pronounced impact, as teams have found it difficult to exceed the average run rate in their last four matches at this location. Players can expect sunny skies with no threat of precipitation when they step onto the field.
ST vs RR – BPL – Match Prediction
The Sylhet Strikers may be the team under pressure but they finished as the top team in the league stage. The Riders, on the other hand, have made a late surge towards the title and won both their previous games against the Strikers. But we predict the Strikers win this game and advance to the final.
