DC vs GT – IPL – Team Previews
Delhi Capitals
In their previous match, the Delhi Capitals’ bowling attack struggled against the Lucknow batters, with West Indian opener Kyle Mayers scoring an impressive 73 runs off just 38 deliveries. Despite this, Delhi’s middle order failed to perform during the chase, with Mitchell Marsh, Sarfaraz Khan, and Rovman Powell all being dismissed cheaply.
David Warner managed to score a half-century, but at a relatively slow strike rate of 116.67, which made it difficult for the team to achieve their required run rate of over 9.5 runs per over. The team lost all nine wickets to either Mark Wood or spin.
As they prepare to face Gujarat Titans, the focus will be on how they deal with GT’s pace attack, as well as the formidable Rashid Khan. Delhi Capitals are in need of the services of South African pace duo Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi, but it is uncertain whether coach Ricky Ponting will rush their inclusion for Tuesday’s match.
Additionally, there is a possibility that Abishek Poral, who replaced Rishabh Pant, may be given a chance to play if the team decides to look beyond Sarfaraz Khan as a wicketkeeper.
Gujarat Titans
The Gujarat Titans started their title defence with a remarkable win against the Chennai Super Kings in front of an electric crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The team’s bowlers were on point, with three of them taking two wickets each. GT’s top-order batsmen Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill set a solid foundation, while Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia finished the innings in style.
However, the victory was dampened by the loss of Kane Williamson to a knee injury, ruling him out for the rest of the season. Matthew Wade is expected to replace him, although KS Bharat is also an option.
Rashid Khan will likely thrive on the slow, turning tracks at the Feroz Shah Kotla and could prove challenging for Delhi’s middle-order overseas trio of Marsh, Powell, and Rossouw. GT’s middle order will also receive a boost soon as David Miller is set to return from international duty with South Africa.

DC vs GT – IPL – Pitch Report and Toss Prediction
With a flat pitch and short boundaries at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, it is going to be a high-scoring game. Additionally, spin bowlers will play a crucial role, given how the pitch tends to slow down as the match progresses. The weather forecast for Delhi predicts cloudy skies, with the possibility of showers, which could further impact the match.
DC vs GT – IPL – Win Prediction
Delhi don’t have a good record in home conditions, unlike other teams. While their batting is in good shape, they are lacking quality Indian fast bowlers. Gujarat started the tournament well and should win this game.
