MI vs GT – IPL – Team Previews

Mumbai Indians

In their previous match, Mumbai Indians secured a 6-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant knock of 83 runs off just 35 balls.

Mumbai Indians have struggled for consistency with the ball, except for Piyush Chawla, and they will need their bowlers to perform at their best. Jason Behrendorff and Chawla will have to do well with the new ball, while Cam Green will play an important role in the middle overs, alongside Jordan.

Varma, who missed Mumbai’s last two games due to a hamstring injury, is now fit to play against Gujarat Titans. The Mumbai team is likely to remain unchanged, except for Varma, who will either start if they bat first or come in as an Impact Player if they are chasing.

Gujarat Titans

The Gujarat Titans displayed a dominant performance in their previous match against the Lucknow Super Giants, winning by a huge margin of 56 runs. The Titans amassed a massive total of 227 for the loss of two wickets with Saha and Gill leading the charge with the bat. The LSG team could only manage 171 in response.

While Rashid Khan and Shami have been the Titans’ primary wicket-takers this season, Mohit Sharma has also been impressive. He won the Man of the Match award on his GT debut and has delivered crucial spells in the middle overs. Sharma took four wickets in the Titans’ last match against LSG.

Sharma and Noor Ahmad have maintained an economy rate of less than seven runs per over, and Shami’s economy rate is only 7.23. With Rashid Khan in the mix, it will be challenging for the Mumbai Indians. The Titans are likely to stick with the same team, with Alzarri Joseph continuing in Josh Little’s absence.
