SRH vs RR – IPL – Team Previews
After a disappointing season last year, Sunrisers Hyderabad have assembled a very good side on paper, with all bases covered. Aiden Markram will lead the team this season, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar will take up the captaincy duties in their opening match.
The Sunrisers have made some valuable overseas signings, including Harry Brook and Glen Phillips, who are expected to play a crucial role in the team’s success. The experienced Mayank Agarwal will also be an important player for the Sunrisers. Sunrisers’ leading run-scorer last year Abhishek Sharma will open alongside Mayank, while the rapidly improving Rahul Tripathi will play at No.3.
With Markram and Klaasen not available, Akeal Hosein could be brought in into the middle order. It will also be a big season for Washington Sundar to showcase his all-round abilities. Sunrisers have once again assembled a very good bowling attack, with Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar and Umran Malik.
The Rajasthan Royals are a well-rounded team in the IPL 2023, led by the dynamic Sanju Samson. They boast a strong spin bowling attack, featuring two of India’s top bowlers in Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin, as well as Australian tweaker Adam Zampa.
Their pace bowling department is equally impressive, with Trent Boult, Obed McCoy, and Navdeep Saini among their ranks. The Royals have also made some valuable overseas signings in Jason Holder and Joe Root, adding depth to their squad.
Jos Buttler, who dominated with the bat last season, will continue to open the innings and cause havoc for opposing teams. Additionally, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had a successful domestic season, will look to make an impact in the middle order.
Sanju Samson, batting at number three, will be eager to prove himself and earn a spot back on the Indian squad with his performance this season. Overall, the Rajasthan Royals are a formidable team with a balanced squad and a mix of experienced players and promising youngsters.

SRH vs RR – IPL – Pitch Report and Toss Prediction
The pitch at the Uppal Stadium is likely to favour the bowlers. Spinners are expected to have a significant impact while bowling on this track. However, once the batters spend some time in the middle, they can start playing their strokes more freely.

This is promising to be a close encounter between two evenly-matched teams. But the Sunrisers are very hard to beat at home and might edge this game.
