Multan Sultans
The Multan Sultans have played three games already, winning two and losing one. They started their season with a one-run loss to Lahore Qalandars but bounced back in their second game against Quetta Gladiators with a dominant performance.
They bowled out the opposition for just 110, with Ihsanullah taking five wickets and chasing the total in the 14th over thanks to an unbeaten 78 from Rilee Rossouw.
They continued their winning form in their last game against Peshawar Zalmi, scoring 210 in the first innings with Rossouw and Rizwan scoring half-centuries. Peshawar could only manage 154 in reply, with Ishanullah and Usama Mir taking three wickets each.
Usama Mir, who made his Pakistan debut in January, has been in impressive form with six wickets in three matches, including three for 22 in the victory over Zalmi. The Sultans have added Carlos Brathwaite to their squad to replace the injured Wayne Parnell. Mohammad Ilyas could struggle to make the team given Ihsanullah’s fast start to the competition.
Islamabad United
Islamabad United are playing just their second game of the group stage, having opened their campaign earlier in the week against the Karachi Kings. In that match, they restricted the Kings to 173 runs while bowling first, with Rumman Raees and Mohammad Wasim Jr picking up two wickets apiece.
Despite losing both openers early in the run chase, Islamabad were able to chase down the total with 10 balls to spare, thanks to match-winning knocks from Colin Munro and Azam Khan.
Munro, who has been in top form across various T20 leagues this winter, scored a quickfire 58 off just 28 balls, while Khan contributed 44 runs. With Alex Hales unavailable until February 26 and Rahmanullah Gurbaz with the Afghanistan squad, replacements Gus Atkinson and Tymal Mills are both in contention for a first appearance, but United could also choose to go unchanged.

MS vs ISL – PSL – Pitch Report and Toss Prediction
On average, the first innings total at the Multan Cricket Stadium is around 169, and a target above 170 runs is considered a good score to defend. The pitch offers good bounce, with some movement available to the pacers in the early overs, while the spinners may not find much turn. The weather in Multan is expected to be warm, with clear skies and no interruption to the game.
MS vs ISL – PSL – Match Prediction
The head-to-head record between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United is quite close. The Sultans have managed to win against Islamabad United on six occasions, while Shadab’s team has won five times, so there isn’t much to separate the two teams. The Multan Sultans are on a roll with two consecutive wins and are favourites to win this game.
