Lahore Qalandars

The Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, will be seeking redemption against the Multan Sultans in the final of the Pakistan Super League. The Qalandars were defeated by Multan in the Qualifier by 84 runs and had to play Eliminator 2 to reach the final.

They enter the final after a four-wicket win over Peshawar Zalmi and finished at the top of the PSL 2023 table with 14 points. During the regular season, the Qalandars won both league matches against the Sultans, including a narrow victory in the opening game of the tournament and a 21-run win earlier this month.

The Qalandars will need to rely on their death bowling duo of Afridi and Haris Rauf to contain the Sultans’ middle-order power hitters, including Pollard, Tim David, and Khushdil Shah. Multan Sultans will be confident heading into the Finals, having already beaten Lahore earlier in the playoffs.
