Australian cricket was in shock after a series of defeats against team India. The three-match T20i series started on a good note for the Australian team but ended up with a nightmare. Overall it was a good performance by the team but somehow the winning momentum was lost by the end of the third match.
David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Marsh have been included in the 16-member Australian squad for the forthcoming two-match T20I series against the West Indies in Queensland. While facing team India, all four players were missing from the squad because of their respective injuries.
Cameroon Green has also been named in the squad because of his brilliant all-rounder performance against team India. Ashton Agar and Kane Richardson will be on rest and might return directly in the T20 World Cup.
West Indies cricket is going through a dip in its performance in recent times. They are coming to play against Australia after facing a crushing defeat against New Zealand in the three-match ODI and T20 series. This will be their last chance before the T20 World Cup to revive their performance and confidence.
West Indies has not announced their squad officially yet. It is expected that the board will make some major changes in the playing XI and would like to give chances to some young faces. Sunil Narine and Andre Russell are expected to be absent for the series and to replace them, West Indies will have some new talent in the team.
