With a loss and win each, the team is reeling at the seventh place in the points table. 

As far as Lucknow Super Giants are concerned, they have picked up a good pace at the beginning of the Indian Premier League 2023. They looked good in the first match against Delhi Capitals with a victory by 50 runs. The team posted 193 runs in the first innings courtesy of the opening batter Kyle Mayers who scored 73 runs. 

LSG did not make it two in a row as they were hammered by Chennai Super Kings in their second game by 12 runs. The team made splendid efforts in the game by scoring 205 runs while chasing 218. However, it was a bad day at the office for the bowlers as they were hammered all over the park.

Lucknow was quick to make amends with a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets. Krunal Pandya picked three wickets as SRH were restricted to a score of 121 runs. Chasing the below-average total, the team reached a win in 16 overs. With four points to their name, they are third in the points table.
