The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the first One Day International on November 17, Thursday at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. 

As a part of the white-ball England tour of Australia 2022, the two teams had locked horns with each other in a three-match T20I series before the World Cup. England were the standout performer as they won the series by 2-0 under the leadership of Jos Buttler. 

Australia might be low on confidence after failing to reach the semi-finals in the T20 World Cup. They won three matches while losing one out of five games to end up in third place in Group 1. As far as ODIs are concerned, the Men in Yellow last played against New Zealand in September. They won the three-match series by 3-0 owing to a brilliant batting and bowling performance.
