Tip Summary

  • Bangladesh won the first One Day International by one wicket to take a lead of 1-0.
  • The Tigers have been a formidable side in home conditions as they have lost only one ODI series since 2014.
  • India have won 30 One Day Internationals against Bangladesh while the latter scored a victory in the remaining five games.

India and Bangladesh will be meeting each other again on Wednesday for the second One Day International of the three-match series. This battle of cricket will also be hosted at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on December 07. Since the match is being played at the same venue as the first One Day International, both teams will be well accustomed to the playing conditions.

The Tigers caused a massive upset for the Men in Blue in the first game on Sunday. They recorded a thrilling win by one wicket to take a significant lead of 1-0. It was a bowlers’ match as they ruled the first One Day International. Shakib Al Hasan scalped five wickets while Ebadot Hossain picked four wickets to restrict India to a score of 186 runs in their allotted 50 overs.

Batting in the second innings, chasing, was no cakewalk for the Bangladesh team. They looked in trouble after losing their nine wickets in 39.3 overs at a score of 136 runs. The team had lost all hopes of victory, with Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, and Kuldeep Sen picking three, two, and two wickets respectively. However, for the final wicket, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman stitched an unbeaten partnership of over 50 runs.

Coming to play on Wednesday, Bangladesh will be eager to continue the momentum and seal a series win. However, the Indian teams need to re-look at their batting line-up to stay alive in the three-match series.

Bangladesh vs India Tips

Player of the Match: KL Rahul

Player Of The Match

  • Tournament: Bangladesh vs India Series
  • Date: 2022-12-07
  • Best Odds: 6.0 @ Indibet

The wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul will be the safest bet from the Indian camp. The Lucknow Super Giants skipper was the only positive for the Indian team in the first One Day International, in an otherwise disappointing performance. When the top four players, including the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas failed to perform, Rahul stepped up to play a good knock. Under the pressure conditions, the wicketkeeper smacked 73 runs off 70 balls. His knock was laced with five boundaries and four sixes. The batting exploits by the 30-year-old steered the team to a total of 186 runs. KL Rahul has a good idea about the wicket and thus he is a good player, to place your money on from the Indian team.

  • Best Odds: 3.75 @ 10Cric

The opening batter Liton Das will be the top player from the Bangladesh cricket team on Wednesday during the second One Day International against India. The wicketkeeper-batter forms the backbone of his team’s batting line-up with 1876 runs in 58 matches at an average of over 34. Das was also the top run-scorer for the hosts in the first ODI. When Bangladesh were chasing a total of 187, the 28-year-old came up with a knock of 41 runs off 63 balls. His form will be crucial for the team in the second match as well as he will hold the key to the Tigers’ victory.

Top wicket-taker of the match: Mohammed Siraj

Top Wicket Taker

  • Tournament: Bangladesh vs India Series

The seam sensation Mohammed Siraj will be the bowler to watch out for in the second ODI. Siraj has done exceptionally well for the Men in Blue in One Day format this year. The Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler was the top pick for the Indian team in the first match. He accounted for three wickets, including Anamul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Hasan Mahmud while bowling at an economy rate of 3.2.
