Playing the first ODI, the power-hitter took his team to victory by nine runs. South Africa looked in trouble in the first innings following a collapse of the batting line-up. However, Miller stood his ground as he returned with a knock of not out 75 runs off 63 balls. His unbeaten partnership of 139 runs with Heinrich Klaasen was the highlight of Proteas’ batting innings.
