South Africa v West Indies 3rd ODI Tips

The three-match ODI series between South Africa and West Indies will conclude on March 21, Tuesday as the third One Day International is scheduled to be played at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. West Indies are currently leading the three-match series by 1-0. The first game between the two teams was washed out due to persistent rainfall in East London.

The second game between the two teams witnessed a comprehensive performance by the visitors as they cruised to a win by 48 runs. The Caribbean skipper, Shai Hope, won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a wonderful decision by the skipper as the team posted a score of 335 runs on the scoreboard. 

The captain led from the front as he hammered 128 runs off 115 balls. His knock included five fours and seven maximums at a strike rate of over 111. Apart from Hope, Rovman Powell also dished out a good performance as he added 46 runs to the scoreboard. Meanwhile, the likes of Nicholas Pooran and Kyle Mayers scored 39 and 36 runs, respectively. 

As far as South Africa is concerned, Gerald Coetzee picked the most wickets, i.e three wickets. Bjorn Fortuin and Tabraiz Shamsi also picked two wickets each. In the second innings, chasing 336 runs, the South African skipper Temba Bavuma made excellent efforts. He delivered one of his best One Day performances by smacking 144 runs off 118 balls.

However, the middle-order batters failed to perform, and the team collapsed by 287 runs in 41.4 overs. On Tuesday, South Africa will have the last chance to avoid the loss in the three-match series.
