The defending champion Lahore Qalandars are ruling the T20 Championship owing to their exploits both with the bat and ball. Qalandars looked absolutely terrific in their opening game as they defeated the runner-up Multan Sultans by one run. The team could not enjoy the purple patch for long as their second game saw them losing to Karachi Kings by a massive 67 runs.

However, there has been no looking back for the side since their first defeat. They were quick to make a comeback to the winning ways and are currently on a five-match winning streak. Qalandars are heading into the Tuesday game after defeating Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultans by 63 runs, 40 runs, 110 runs, 17 runs, and 21 runs respectively. 

Speaking of Peshawar Zalmi, they have performed decently in the Pakistan Super League 2023 so far. With six points to their name from three wins and as many losses, they are fourth in the points table. After losing two games on the trot, Zalmi made a comeback to the winning ways as they defeated Karachi Kings by 24 runs. 

It was a phenomenal batting performance by the side as they posted a massive score of 197 runs on the scoreboard in their allotted 20 overs. Chasing the total, Karachi were restricted to only 173 runs in 20 overs. 

As far as head-to-head records are concerned, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi have battled it out against each other in 16 matches in the history of the T20 extravaganza. Peshawar have won nine games while Lahore scored a win in the remaining seven matches.
