Coming to Sunrisers Eastern Cape, they ended up in third place in the points table with four wins and five losses. The team failed to make an impact in the second half of the league round. However, they made sure to make amends in the semi-final game against Joburg Super Kings. The team posted a mammoth score of 213 runs on the scoreboard. In the second innings, the Sunrisers’ bowlers ruled the match by stopping the Super Kings at a score of 199 runs. 

Meanwhile, Pretoria Capitals will enjoy an edge over the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the competition. They defeated the Sunrisers in both of their league games against each other.
