IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans need to up their game in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023 as they are lagging behind in the points table. They have featured in four league matches so far and have won two games while losing as many matches. The Tamizhans were let down by their batters in their opening game against Lyca Kovai Kings as they scored only 109 runs while chasing 180 to lose the match by 70 runs.

Meanwhile, the team was handed the second defeat by Chepauk Super Gillies in their second league match by seven wickets. Again the batters underperformed as they scored 120 runs in the first innings. Following two back-to-back losses, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans made a comeback to win the next two matches against Nellai Royal Kings and Ba11sy Trichy by seven wickets and 46 runs respectively. 

In their most recent game, the Tamizhans’ batters finally showed their mettle as they smacked 201 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing the total, Trichy were folded at 155 runs. As far as Dindigul Dragons are concerned, they have three victories to their name from four league matches. With six points to their name, the Dragons are occupying the third place in the points table.

Dindigul made a stunning start to the T20 Championship by scoring three consecutive wins in the tournament. They defeated Trichy in the first game by six wickets while in their next two games; they handed a defeat to Siecham Madurai Panthers and Chepauk Super Gillies by seven wickets and one run, respectively. 

However, Dindigul Dragons’ three-match streak finally ended in their last game against Lyca Kovai Kings. The Knight defeated the Dragons by 59 runs by defending 206 runs in 20 overs.

Though the Dragons are better placed in the points table as compared to IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, both the teams equally need the victory on Wednesday to climb up the points table and maintain a strong hold in the 2023 edition of the Tami Nadu Premier League.
